Have you experienced symptoms of syphilis, such as suspicious wounds on the genitals or in the mouth, rash under your feet, in the palms and on the body, fever and tenderness of the lymphs? These may be signs of syphilis, a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium treponema pallidum (TP). It is important to have it examined as syphilis can have serious complications if not treated in time. With this syphilis test you can easily and quickly be tested and get results in just 15 minutes.

How does it work?

The syphilis test is a chromatographic-immunological analysis for qualitative detection of antibodies against TP in human blood. The test shows only a positive result if you have adequate syphilisantics in the blood. It usually takes some time before these levels are high enough to be discovered by a syphilist test, so the test is 80% exactly three weeks after the time of infection and 100% exactly after three months.

Prepare the test: Open the sealed container along the edge and remove the test cartridge.
Perform the test: Place the test cassette flat on a clean, dry, non-absorbing surface. Transfer 2 drops of blood to the test briquette, and then 1 drop of buffer.
Wait for the result: Wait for colored stripes to appear and read the result after 15 minutes. It is important not to wait too long to read the result, as you risk getting a false positive result.

How is the result read?

Negative: Only 1 strip will be visible. This indicates that there are no detectable antibodies in the blood and the person is considered infection free and healthy.
Positive: Two pink stripes will be visible. This indicates that the sample contains a detectable amount of antibody in which case you should contact a doctor as soon as possible.
Void: If no colored stripes are visible, this is an indication of a possible error in performing the test. The test must be performed again with a new and unused test cassette.

Precautions before use:

Use fresh sample material (blood).
Use before expiry date.
Do not open the syphilist test until room temperature is reached.
